The World’s Most Scenic Railway Journeys – 27 March 2021 – 27/3/2021 – Saturday – SBS

We go on an extraordinary 600-mile journey through one of the most world’s most northern countries – Finland – from Helsinki in the south to Kemijärvi in Finnish Lapland. Even in the depths of winter our railway line runs smoothly and penetrates the thickest of forests, passed vast frozen lakes 63 times the size of Lake Windermere, stops at stations where time has stopped still and are now mini ‘time-capsules’ of Finnish railways.
