It’s a busy day in resus for nurse Tim, who is juggling beds with the steady flow of new patients into the department. He reflects on his role and describes the huge impact his father, a GP, had on his life through his altruistic and patient nature, before he tragically died of brain tumour.

37-year-old Lisa suffers from an extreme form of autism and has been rushed to A&E from her care home after suffering a crush injury to one of her fingers. To make matters worse, the care home is saying she might not be allowed back.
